I know I haven’t posted in almost a week. But a lot has been going on in the background with the blog. So expect a few surprises.
One is some happy results regarding my Uncle Jack’s war record. While its not all the info I’ve been looking for, I received some solid info to guide me forward to what I’m ultimately trying to know.
This is part of his separation qualification record that I received from NARA. So you see this family has had a long history in the horse racing industry. I remember going to one of Jack’s windows at the Fair with Dad one year. If I remember correctly he was cashing the $50 three-way tickets.
There also might be video accompaniment coming soon as well. This one I’m keeping my fingers crossed, because its results will make me very happy…….I hope.
This is my busy part of the year with several smaller month-long meets. So the meet summaries tend to back up on me. It’s why I try and take a day to bang out a few posts in advance and schedule them to sprinkle in throughout the week.
Also the doctor visits have been a little off the charts since I got back from Del Mar. primary, cardiologist, periodontist, etc. Had a nuclear stress test two weeks ago, and I’ve heard nothing back from my cardiologist, which I’m taking as a good sign.
Lastly, I have no idea how many of you follow this blog religiously or sporadically, but I do know you all use your phone when you check in. No wonder the commentary is silent. I get it. Naturally, I only have family following along with a smattering of friends who knew my folks. It’s how I wanted to begin. I might alter my clubhouse rules one day.
Meanwhile, I’ll just keep on telling stories.
