My grandmother’s family. Great-Grandpa Edwin was a judge and I love my Great-Grandma’s name…..Lulu Luzette. Sounds like an old vaudeville star’s name.
Of this sextet of relatives, I spent some time with three of them, and possibly four. I just have no recollection with Uncle Ed, but seeing as how he lived until I was 22 and was in the area, I’m sure we met.
My Aunt Bess was one of a kind. She was almost 20 years older than Mom Mom. Aunt Lena lived with Bess during my youth in Palm Desert. We’d visit them every year, as Dad would do their taxes.
Uncle Wayne lived in Boulder, Colorado with my Aunt Ethel. My Aunt Ethel was another larger than life personality. I’m struck by the fact that, along with my grandmother, two of my aunts passed in 1976.
